SAN PATRICIO, TEXAS — Several law enforcement agencies were involved in a high-speed chase Tuesday night.
According to San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera, a red small Dodge SUV led DPS and his deputies on a high-speed chase down I-37.
"The chase started in Mathis onto Corpus Christi, over the Harbor Bridge to Portland. He then turned around at Portland & the chase continued back to Corpus Christi on I37 back to San Patricio Co. to Mathis," Rivera stated.
Officers said they were able to spike the tires however, the suspect continued to try to evade police until he wrecked out on I-37 near Mathis.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Jonathon C. Boutwell of Mathis, was arrested.
