London ISD residents upset about new subdivision proposal

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — People who live in the London ISD area are concerned about the possibility of a subdivision being built nearby.

A local home building company wants to transform rural land into a development of more than 1,400 homes.

In a recent zoning commission meeting, residents say traffic is already a problem and this development would make it worse.

They also worry the value of their homes will decrease.

The zoning committee voted against the zoning request.

But the city council is expected to vote on this request later in the month.

Today, we’ll speak to the home developer as well as some people who live in the area.

And, we’ll tell you what they have to say this evening on KRIS 6 News.
