Some local residents gathered at the courthouse earlier today for a different sort of 4th of July observance.
A group of people gathered to read two important documents that gave shaped our nation's future.
They read the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.
We’ll talk to some of these citizens about what motivated them to take part in this reading and what those documents mean to them in their daily lives.
