CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — NAACP Corpus Christi is asking residents to turn in their census.
It said the last census period in the Coastal Bend had one of the lowest response rates.
According to the NAACP, the area is at 57 percent.
The census is important because it determines how many federal dollars get sent this way for everything from infrastructure to education. It also helps determine the amount of representation we get.
