Local law enforcement agencies honor fallen Sgt. Samuel Carlos Singleterry

ROBSTOWN, Texas — Saturday morning, officers from several local law enforcement agencies honored and laid to rest Sergeant Samuel Carlos Singleterry from the Robstown Police Department.

According to Robstown police, Sgt. Singleterry passed away November 24 due to complications from an illness.

He served in the Robstown Police Department for 27 years, starting in 1994. Singleterry was promoted to Sergeant in 2001, and throughout the years served as a S.W.A.T. Commander, Field Training Officer, Field Training Sergeant, Bike Patrol, Honor Guard, Narcotics Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, and was a Master Peace Officer.

Robstown PD says Sgt. Singleterry received several prestigious awards such as Medal of Valor, Life Saving Award, Meritorious Award, Pistol Master, and Tactical Squad.
