CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Another local protest over the killing of George Floy is scheduled for Saturday.
KRIS 6 News spoke with the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education.
It's members are hosting what they are calling a "Corpus Christi Black Leadership Solidarity Gathering and Walk."
The group began preparing t-shirts on Friday that will be sold at the event.
"The proceeds are going to the george floyd family. we are in contact with family members. so we will be sending the proceeds from the t-shirt sale to the family," said Tina Butler, Association President.
The gathering and walk is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Waters Edge Park on Shoreline Boulevard.
