UPDATE:

The city of Driscoll is now under a water boil notice.

STORY:
The cities of of Kingsville and Driscoll are urging residents to conserve water as their water storage is reaching very low levels.

According to the city of Kingsville, their water storage capacity is currently at 30 percent. If water use is not decreased, the city may be forced to enact a water boil notice like many neighboring cities. As of now, there are no water boil notices in place for the cities of Kingsville or Driscoll.

The city of Kingsville asks for residents to do two things to conserve water:

  1. Look around your property for excess water. Call and report any leaks to the police department's non-emergency line at (361) 592-4311.
  2. Make sure faucet drips are no more than the amount that would fit through a cocktail straw. A little goes a long way.
