A pair of suspects were arrested after one was found hiding underneath a mattress.
It happened Oct. 16 on the 200 block of County Road 135-1.
Jim Wells County investigators were acting on a theft of property warrant for Mathew Eugene Munoz.
Mathew's brother identified himself at the residence as Christopher Leonard Munoz and was told by officers that his brother had a warrant out for his arrest. Christopher denied knowledge of his brother's whereabouts and gave consent for a search of the premises.
Investigators located Mathew underneath a mattress. Mathew was placed under arrest for theft of property and Christopher was placed under arrest for hindering prosecution.
Both brothers are currently in Jim Wells County Jail.
