CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Venerable Corpus Christi radio personality Jim Lago announced his retirement today during his morning talk show.
Lago, was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2016, told his listeners that Dec, 6 will be his last day on KKTX.
On April 9, Lago was hospitalized after suffering a mild stroke during one of his shows.
His local radio career has spanned four decades as he's been on the local airwaves for more than 30 years.
The station has not announced their future plans for Lago's slot once he leaves the station.
