CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — History came alive this weekend at Texas' oldest military cemetery. On Saturday morning the Old Bayview Cemetery hosted "The 12th Voices of South Texas."
The event had 25 local "actors" portray various people buried in the cemetery, and this year it is extra special because the cemetery also celebrated its 175th birthday.
“For this cemetery to last this long, from what i've seen in other cities where the historical cemeteries go to weed, this is fantastic,” said Kenneth Patterson who portrayed George W. Hockley.
The Old Bayview Cemetery is near Old Concrete Street Amphitheater.
