CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you've got questions about your Medicare coverage, or if you want to make changes to your plan, now is the time to do it.

The Medicare open enrollment period has begun and it runs until Dec. 7.

The area’s Agency on Aging held an open enrollment curbside clinic earlier today at their resource center on Leopard.

Insurance providers were there to answer questions about what coverage options are available with other plans.

“We want people to be aware, be smart consumers and make informed decisions and this is the time of year that you want to do that because that’s the only window of opportunity that we have,” said Viola Monrreal of the area’s Agency on Aging. “If you miss that window, then pretty much you've gotten stuck with what you currently have until the following year.”

If you missed today's curbside clinic, you can make an appointment for an over-the-phone consultation with a benefits counselor.

Just call the local Agency on Aging resource center at 883-3935.
