CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Humpal Physical Therapy started their Healthcare for heroes barbecue at Spohn Shoreline Hospital on Monday. The event is to show appreciation and give thanks to the healthcare workers during the pandemic.

They have made arrangements to serve at all four hospitals in Corpus Christi so healthcare workers can stop by and pick up a plate, free of charge.

They say it's just one way for them to show their appreciation to those working on the front line of the ongoing pandemic.

“This is something that, is very dear to our hearts because all these people in the hospitals work in that setting, they have to go to work they have people that need their help there and all they do is help others. And for us to be able to help them, makes me feel great,” said Marketing for Humpal Physical Therapy, Dino Maldonado.

“We appreciate everybody that is involved in the healthcare industry and that we want everybody to be kind to others especially to the people in the healthcare industry because they are under as much stress as you are and we just want everyone to be a little kind to one another,” said Maldonado.

The next barbecue will be August 25th located at the Covenant church on Williams street across the street from Bay Area heart hospital. They will be having two more barbecue’s and those will be determined at the end of this week.

The barbecues will start at 4 pm and end at 7 pm. You can help by volunteering or donating. At the end of the year, additional funds will be donated to the Ark.
