BEE COUNTY, TEXAS — According to DPS Troopers, a head-on crash left two people dead Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday approximately seven miles west of Beeville on US 59.
According to a crash report, a Volkswagen Passat was traveling south on US 59 and a Ford Focus was traveling north on US 59.
Investigators said the driver of the Passat was attempting to pass multiple vehicles in a no-passing zone and struck the Focus head-on.
Saarah Rowshan, 50, a resident from San Antonio and the driver of the Passat was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Lee Roy Saldiva, 53, a resident of George West, and the driver of the Focus was transported to Spohn Beeville Hospital where he was pronounced dead
