CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Losing a loved one can be tough and not saying goodbye can be even more heartbreaking. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many limitations and major changes to long-standing traditions especially how funeral services operate.
Staff with Seaside Memorial Park & Funeral Home say they are making the necessary adjustments to comply with city regulations in light of the coronavirus crisis while making sure families can be together during a difficult time and honor their loved ones.
Seaside Memorial Park & Funeral Home are developing a free webcasting service so families can participate in services at home.
Season staff members admit this process is new to them however they are determined to continue serving the community.
"Unfortunately, during these times we are having to make adjustments both for all of our businesses in order to accommodate what the state and local authorities are asking us but never have we seen this before," says Manager Buddy Ewing.
Staff also add how they have strict guidelines when it comes to hygiene because they know many families entrust the funeral home with the proper care of a loved one.
