CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The four men arrested after allegedly breaking into Burlington Coat Factory early Wednesday morning have been identified.

Corpus Christi Police Department officers took Richard Crane, Julian Bernett, Robert Cabrera and Peter Diaz-Peralez into custody after receiving a call for an alarm at the store in the old Sunrise Mall on the 5800 block of SPID around 2 a.m. All four men are 18 years old.

When they arrived, officers found two people inside the store, and two others were found in the upper level of the mall.

All four attempted to flee the scene, but were arrested shortly after.

The suspects did not make it out with any property before being taken into custody.

Officers found some damage to the upstairs part of the building, believed to have been caused by the suspects in order to gain entry.

The four men are being charged with burglary of a business, and Bernett and Diaz-Peralez also are being charged with evading arrest.
