CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There is a new development in the case of the CITGO-6.
They are the six CITGO executives, including Corpus Christi resident, Alirio Zambrano, who have been imprisoned in Venezuela since November 2017.
Former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson plans to travel to Venezuela this week to urge President Nicolas Maduro to free the CITGO 6 and some other Americans being held in that country.
Zambrano and the other CITGO executives were arrested on embezzlement and treason charges.
Their families say they have been held under inhumane conditions.
