ROBSTOWN, Texas — For King and Country brings their, "A Drummer Boy Drive-In Live - The Christmas Tour" to Robstown.

The show will be held at The Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds on Dec. 3 to spread Christmas cheer.

The four-time Grammy award-winning duo includes brothers Joel Smallbone and Luke Smallbone.

Q: I’m snooping through Four King & Country’s instagram and I saw the photo of your family, friends and y’all had individually built snowmen on there. Who is the best snowman builder?

"That picture was our first Christmas as a family. And those are all the siblings lined up from youngest to oldest and my parents. I am a bit of a perfectionist and a little bit of OCD. I think if it’s between Luke and me, I would definitely make the best snowman."

Q: A Drummer Boy Drive-in live the Christmas tour is underway. What can we expect from this tour?

“I have to tell you I’ve been nervous about drive-ins. I mean everyone has been nervous about any kind of like public gathering at this point right. And what I’m nervous about is its one thing to go and watch a film. There is no two-way interaction you’re just watching a screen,” said Smallbone.

Joel said, “It’s another thing to go and create a show in a night that feels interactive and people feel connected. So we brought two semi’s, two buses, the LED screens and the streamers, the sound the lighting and the whole band and I'm pleased to share that it has been surprisingly, marvelous.”

“You know there’s a couple layers to it No one is doing any kind of live show, right now. And so any kind of live experience even if you are socially gathered, is amazing, said Smallbone.

Q: What does it mean for you guys to be putting on a Christmas tour and spread that cheer to spread that holiday escapism for people?

“For the entertainment community I think it’s really important for us to show up now and be part of that healing bond if you will,” said Smallbone.

“Christmas 2020 it needs a little bit of hope, it needs a little bit of love, it needs a little bit of joy man. And and I’m excited to offer that moment where people can come out here and go, it’s going to be ok. Until then stay safe and Happy early merry Christmas,” said Smallbone.
