CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Firefighters were called out to the Island to battle a brush fire.
Smoke could be seen coming from the area near Park Road 22 around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
It took firefighters more than two hours to get the flames under control.
Investigators at the scene said the cause of the fire appears to have been set by people shooting a flare gun in that area.
