FALFURRIAS, Texas — A Falfurrias woman is asking for the public's help.

She recently lost a blanket that belonged to her mother who passed away from pancreatic cancer in July.

89-year-old Soila Cavazos received the blanket as a gift from her church when she was diagnosed with cancer.

The blanket had even been blessed.

Cynthia Oropeza says it was her mom's comfort blanket.

“My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December and during the time that she was suffering,” Oropeza said. “She was going through all her treatments in Corpus she had this blanket on top of her.”

Sadly, the blanket was lost this past weekend during a family trip from Falfurrias to Odem.

Oropeza thinks it blew out of the truck somewhere along the road.
