An off-duty Corpus Christi Police Department officer collided with a cyclist near the corner of South Staples and Park on Friday afternoon.
No life-threatening injuries were reported.
CCPD Lt. Gabe Garcia said the cyclist was in the northbound lane heading southbound, when he was hit by a grey Nissan Titan XD.
Garcia said it was likely the truck driver would not be ticketed.
"The cyclist is the one that was going the wrong way," Garcia said.
