Nueces Co. ESD # 2 and the Corpus Christi Fire Department are working to extinguish a fire on Padre Island.
Multiple brush trucks have been dispatched to help contain the grass fire on Leeward Drive, which Nueces Co. ESD No. 2 is reporting began after a truck overheated and caught fire.
The truck reportedly was claimed by the fire.
