CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery has been awarded nearly $2 million for expansion.
The grant from Texas Veterans Land Board will be used to add two acres to the 30-acre cemetery.
The expansion will allow for 1,000 pre-placed crypts, irrigation, landscaping and other structures.
No timeline was given for when the expansion will begin.
