CORPUS CHRISTI, texas — The Coastal Bend Blood Center is in desperate need of donors, particularly those with O+ blood.
Tuesday night, a major accident combined with several surgeries nearly depleted its supply of Type O+ blood.
One person needed 200 units of blood that night.
The blood center says blood has been in short supply lately because of COVID-19, and it is still trying to replenish supply after the holiday season.
It only takes about half an hour to donate. So if you are feeling well and healthy, make an appointment to help save several lives.
