Padre Island residents reported hearing loud noises Sunday that reminded them of the blow-out a few months ago on a Magellan E&P natural gas well two miles offshore from Bob Hall Pier.
The city of Corpus Christi reported Sunday that the sounds were the result of crews being back on the platform to make repairs.
KRIS 6 News was told the crews were doing what is known as a back-feed on the pipeline that runs from the platform to land, and that the public was never in any danger.
Emergency crews were on hand, however, in case anything happened.
