CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Doctors say it is more important than ever for people to protect themselves and their families from the flu.
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, now health experts are recommending that people get their flu vaccines as soon as possible.
During the month of October, the CHRISTUS Spohn CareVan has made stops around the Coastal Bend to provide free flu shots for the public.
The next stop is this week at La Palmera. Free flu vaccines will be available for residents 18 years of age and older, while supplies last.
Dr. Osbert Blow, President and Chief Medical Officer of CHRISTUS Spohn Health System, will be on hand to speak about how critical it is for residents to prioritize their flu shots this season.
