CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Today, some patients at Driscoll Children's Hospital will become doctors for the day.
That's right, this is an event where kids become more familiar with the procedures and equipment involved in their treatment.
What they'll do is choose a teddy bear, name it and with the help of staff, they will place an IV on the teddy bear, draw lab work, give it an x-ray and an anesthesia mask for surgery.
It's a way for the kids to ask questions about their treatment and just let them feel more comfortable with their environment.
We're sure they'll make great doctors.
