CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Corpus Christi police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash.
The incident happened along S.P.I.D. southbound lanes just before the Everhart exit just before 12:25 p.m. Friday.
Lt. Timothy Frazier, with the Corpus Christi police department, said a 52-year-old man was traveling down S.P.I.D. and clipped the back of a vehicle. The man was thrown from his motorcycle and was dragged more than 50-feet.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Lt. Frazier said the motorcyclist was at fault for causing the crash.
Investigators added the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
