CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Insurance Council of Texas and the Corpus Christi Police Department will conduct a press conference this morning about a crime prevention campaign aimed at preventing auto theft and auto burglaries.

The program involves the creation and distribution of signs that read, “HIDE your things, LOCK your car and TAKE your keys”.

The press conference will begin at 10 a.m. today at the Mattress Firm parking lot and we'll be there for all of it.

State Farm Insurance, ICONIC Sign Group, RTA and Mattress Firm have joined forces with CCPD Auto Theft Task Force and a city bus that has been wrapped with the CCPD Auto Theft Task Force public awareness message will also be on site as another example of strategic and directed placement of informative outdoor advertising.

The CCPD Sky Watch tower will also be on site as another example of several crime prevention efforts that the CCPD utilizes to prevent auto theft and auto burglaries.
