CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi first responders and members of the community gathered at the Del Mar College West campus for a 9/11 remembrance ceremony.
The event featured performances by the Fire Department's Pipes & Drums Corps and Honor Guard as well as The Police Department's Honor Guard.
“How many firefighters and police officers went into a very dangerous situation not knowing what they were going to encounter and many of them did not come back.” said fire chief Robert Rocha.
This morning's ceremony was held at the FEMA dome on the Del Mar West Campus.
