CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — “Boo in the Blue” is back at the Texas State Aquarium each weekend during October.
The event is held annually and might look a little different this year from before.
Halloween decor can be seen through put the facility and in every exhibit there.
Organizers say this provides Coastal Bend families with an opportunity to enjoy the aquarium safely.
“We've adapted some of our programs,” said Jennifer Vela, the aquarium’s director of marketing and communications. “We have made candy shoots where candy will come through a shoot to the family, so there doesn't have to be hand to hand contact. We definitely have seen that families are excited to come.”
This event is happening each weekend and is a fun and safe alternative for trick or treating.
Children are encouraged to dress up when they attend the aquarium.
