CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — City volunteers with the Parks and Rec senior centers are commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. legacy with a unique way to help others.
Today, they were at the Lindale Recreation Center putting together hundreds of blessing bags for local homeless shelters.
They included much needed items like hygiene products, snacks, water, socks and warmers.
The group took part in the project to honor King’s famous saying "everyone can be great because everybody can serve."
