BEEVILLE, Texas — A man who was mistakenly released from the Bee County Jail a week ago is back in custody.
29-year-old Ernest Ramirez was captured by the Border Patrol last night near the Falfurrias checkpoint.
He had been released from the Bee County Jail last Wednesday after serving his time on a misdemeanor charge.
After his release, jail officials realized he had outstanding federal drug charges and should have been held for federal authorities.
