IWA is closing down their chapel with one final mass
Incarnate Word Academy is saying goodbye to their chapel with one final mass.
The closing mass will take place at 10 am on Saturday, June 8. The chapel is said to be decommissioned for eventual demolition.
“in July 2015, the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament (IWBS) said good-bye to a structure that had been our home for nearly 60 years because it was not feasible to renovate it to address our needs.” Sr. Annette Wagner said, “Now, continuing deterioration of the building is not only making it unrepairable but also unusable.”
The demolition is said to be finished before the start of the 2020-2021 academic school year.
