A woman found living in a box truck with her kids won’t be spending any more time behind bars.

Lisa Long appeared in court this morning and pleaded guilty to three counts of child endangerment.

In exchange for her plea, she received five years deferred adjudication. That means she has to follow all of the conditions of her probation. If she doesn’t, she will be arrested and sent to prison.

If she completes her five years of deferred adjudication without any issues, the three charges filed against her will be sealed. Once those charges are sealed, private entities won’t be able to see them on her record. Only the government will have access to those charges of her record.

Long was arrested in January 2018 when police found her living in a box truck with her three kids. The truck had just pulled into a convenience store on Gollihar Road near Prescott Drive.

Her children were all under the age of eight at the time of the incident.
