CCPD finds missing dolphin statue in Kleberg County

A dolphin statue, that was removed over the weekend, has been recovered.

Property managers at the El Constante Condominiums say several people broke into the swimming pool area early Saturday morning, had some beers and then stole the statue.

According to Lt. Harrison, with the CCPD, the missing dolphin statue was discovered just before 5:00 p.m. located at Beach Marker 260 in Kleberg County in an area called “The Bowl.”

Lt. Harrison said an off-duty police officer that works for the Flour Bluff I.S.D. looked at the video and possibly identified one of the juveniles in the video.

After talking to the possible suspect, the officer was able to get the information on the location of the dolphin.

The officer went to Beach Marker 260 and found the metal dolphin in an area of water on the beach.

The officer packed up the dolphin and is took the statue over to the El Constante Condominiums.
