Wings Over South Texas Air Show

The Wings Over South Texas Air Show is back at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi for another fun-filled weekend.

With the headliners, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels taking on the skies over Corpus Christi, the 5-plane demonstration squadron, along with Fat Albert travel the country to 61 different Air Shows to show off the excellence and professionalism that make up the U.S. Navy and the United States Marine Corps.

Wednesday afternoon, KRIS 6 Reporter Chelsea Torres had a chance to fly with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Lt. Cary Rickoff flew Chelsea around showing off what can happen during a flight with the Blues, in one of the F/A-18 Hornets, going as fast as the speed of sound and as high as 15,000 feet in the sky.

Check out the Wings Over South Texas Air Show today and tomorrow at NAS – Corpus Christi from noon to about 4 p.m.
