Pharmacy workers at the H-E-B on Staples and Saratoga say their supply of Tamiflu is meeting the demand this flu season.

Pharmacist Nelda Garcia says staff learned valuable lessons from past years.

“We should do everything we can into prevent the severity and the death that flu can cause,” says Garcia.

With the high number of flu cases in the past, the pharmacy is properly prepared this year.

At Deleon’s Clinic Pharmacy on Elizabeth Street, pharmacists are constantly refreshing their supply of Tamiflu and other medicines to fight against the flu so they will not experience a shortage.

As soon as a dose of the treatment is sold, another is ordered sooner rather than later.

“Once we get a prescription called in, or a prescription walks in with a patient calling for a course of treatment of Tamiflu, then we dispense it, counsel the patient and then we replace the product back by ordering it and having it in stock the next day,” pharmacist Carlos Salinas says.
