Robstown Independent School District welcomed Rachel’s Challenge on Tuesday.
Rachel’s Challenge is a program that travels across the nation, promoting safe schools and connecting with one another.
The inspiration came after the mass-school shooting at Columbine High School in April of 1999. The very first person killed that day was Rachel Scott, a young girl who embraced life and was always kind to others.
Now, as a part of Rachel’s Challenge, students are encouraged to spread acts of kindness and stop bullying.
On Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. Rachel’s Challenge will be offered to the community as an event at the Robstown Early College High School Auditorium.
It is free and open to the public.
