The “2nd Annual We Got Your Six” auto show kicked off Saturday afternoon to help out a local veterans group.

The event benefits the Patriot Guard Riders of South Texas. The group is comprised of veterans that gather and honor a fellow veteran that is buried at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery.

Saturday’s car show had over 40 categories for vehicles including, lowrider, rat rod, import, and even motorcycles.

The car show includes food trucks, vendors and live musical performances by Clarissa Serna, Javier Solis y Los Unikos, Killin It with Kim, Big Daddy Ray, and The Dave Rukkus Band. Part of the proceeds from the vendors and food trucks benefit the Patriot Guard Riders of South Texas.

“It helps us, it helps our veterans, we do a good job. We do our job at the Veterans Cemetery and honor all veterans when we’re asked to stand for them. That’s what we do. That’s our best way,” said Deputy State Ride Captain, Butch Turtle Cone.

The car show hopes to raise over $8,000 for the Patriot Guard Riders of South Texas.
