Did you open something up this year and think to yourself, “I’ll never use that!”
Well, retailers are preparing for the after-Christmas rush with end of year sales and those returns and exchanges. The National Retail Federation says that 51% will shop in stores for after-Christmas sales, while 19% will be heading to stores for returns and exchanges.
But, there are a few things to know before heading to that store to return that unwanted gift!
- Keep any receipts and gift receipts to make process smoother
- Take your I.D.
- Tag but no receipt? Expect store credit
- Check store policies for 30-90 day return
