CCPD looking for suspected bank robber

Corpus Christi Police are looking for a man who is suspected of robbing the American Bank on South Padre Island Drive.

According to Lt. Mike Pena, just after 11 a.m. a heavy set man wearing a mask walked into the bank on the 5100 block of South Padre Island Drive and demanded some money. it didn’t appear the man was armed but the employee complied and gave the robber some cash. He then walked out of the bank and got into a 4-door silver sedan.

Luckily, no one was injured.

Meanwhile, officers are looking for the suspect who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and heavy set. He was wearing a grey hoodie and blue sweatpants that had white stripes running along the side.
