Work crews were at the site of what will become the “New Del Mar College Southside Campus” for soil testing.
It’s the first step before construction can begin on the 139-million dollar campus.
Crews are from an engineering firm were conducting the testing on the 96-acre site at Yorktown and Rodd Field road.
Construction of the new campus is scheduled to begin in October of 2019 and should be completed in May of 2021.
