Taking a picture with Santa at the La Palmera Mall is one of the many highlights children look forward to.

Many kids sit and tell Santa what they want for Christmas but first they must wait in line.

For some children that process can get quite overwhelming.

La Palmera has partnered with “Autism Speaks” so parents could bring their kids to see Santa but in a rare setting.
This was a “sensory-friendly” gathering.
This provided children to spend extra time with Santa who may have developmental or physical challenges.

The atmosphere consists of the mall music turned down, activities for children and Santa taking a seat in his big green chair. Santa came two hours before the stores opened so kids could relax and not have to deal with the holiday shopping crowd.
