Cruz, O’Rourke debate scheduled for Sunday postponed

A debate between senatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke and incumbent Senator Ted Cruz that was previously scheduled to be held on Sunday has been postponed.

The University of Houston reports the debate has been postponed due to weekend U.S. Supreme Court All parties involved are currently working together to secure an alternate date for the town hall debate.

The debate will be postponed because Cruz will be in Washington for the confirmation on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

It was scheduled to be the second of three debates, focusing on domestic policy.

The first debate was held Sept. 21 at Southern Methodist University in University Park. And at this time, the third debate is scheduled Oct. 16 in San Antonio.
