The Buccaneer Commission’s Rodeo Corpus Christi has been nominated by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association as the top “Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year”.
The PRCA is the largest and oldest rodeo-sanctioning body in the world. The PRCA annually sanctions about 650 top-of-the-line multiple-event rodeos on the continent, including about 38 states and three or four Canadian provinces.
The award will be presented at the PRCA Awards Banquet in Las Vegas on Dec. 5, shortly before the start of the Wrangerl National Finals Rodeo.
Online ballot process will be open Oct. 1-15 for applicable voting PRCA members. The winners for each category will be announced at the PRCA Awards Banquet at the South Point in Las Vegas on Dec. 5.

Other notable Rodeo Corpus Christi nominees, nominated in their respective categories, include: Frontier Rodeo, Justin Rumford and Benje Bendele.
Among the rodeos nominated for the award with Rodeo Corpus Christi include Rapid City, S.D., Denver, Fort Worth and San Antonio.
