Second person arrested in connection to Crosstown shooting

A second person in now in the Nueces County Jail in connection to a shooting last week that left one woman dead.

Javier Lopez, 34, was arrested in the Amarillo area for his role in the alleged murder of 22-year-old Nadia Ramos.

Lopez and 21-year-old Heriberto Segura are charged with murder and five counts of aggravated assault.

According to police, Ramos was in a truck at the intersection of Crosstown Expressway and Holly Road when a dark-colored car pulled up and fired several shots at the truck.

Lopez arrived at the Nueces County Jail this morning after being transferred from Amarillo. He is being held on a $2 million bond.

Segura was transferred from Jim Wells County last week; his bond is set at $1.5 million.
