September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and one local non-profit got a little financial boost from jewelry maker Kendra Scott today.
20 percent of profits from the local store were donated to Triumph Over Kid Cancer Foundation, TOKC, founded by James Ragan and his sister Mecklin, both of Corpus Christi. James passed away from a rare form of bone cancer in 2014 and it was is life’s goal to help children with pediatric cancer and support research for a cure.
Through donations and other events, like the Kendra Gives Back event today, TOKC has raised over $3 million to improve livability of pediatric cancer patients.
