After three years, residents of the Flour Bluff community have reached out to the City of Corpus Christi to bring back the volunteer run program, Litter Critter.

The Litter Critter Program provides a large brush collection truck for no additional charge.

Illegal dumping has been an issue across the Corpus Christi area and in Flour Bluff, the concern has been expressed numerous times. The partnership between the community and the city will carry on for six months as a trial run.

Council Member Paulette Guajardo also says that the community on the Island has expressed interest in the Litter Critter program and hope to have it back permanently as well.

Litter Critter will take place at the Ronnie Polston building at the corner of Compton and 1st National on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Volunteers are needed.
