It is a terrifying scenario when a school bus is part of the scene of an active shooting.
The unthinkable could happen, but this is something police officers with the Corpus Christi Independent School District have to think about and train for.
All in an effort to make sure kids are protected.
Officer Patricia Reyes has been on the force for 20 years, however, has been with the Corpus Christi Independent School district for three months. Reyes shares how this experience for her is eye-opening.
“This training is something that I thought I never needed but, is defiantly going to prepare me for this coming school year and my career within the Corpus Christi ISD Police Department,” Reyes says.
