Whether it’s a hurricane, snow or even drought, behind the walls of the Grow Local South Texas learning garden, workers know that resilience is what keeps the garden alive.

The garden has provided the community with a new way to live a healthy life.

Back in 2013, Grow Local South Texas began serving the community with healthy produce, education, and involvement and through it all the Tom Graham Park has played host.

Thanks to a new lease agreement with the city of Corpus Christi, this will continue at Tom Graham Park.

The program has received approval to stay at the park for the next five years.

However, Grow Local South Texas is hoping they can add an additional five years as well.

With the new lease agreement, the non-profit promises to plant 25 trees in public places, maintain the park, and continue to educate the public all while keeping the garden open to everyone.
